I'd have never dreamt of trying anything like that as a result as an adult. Since moving to Singapore though and having a lot more exposure and a fiance who enjoys seafood I've tried a lot more and in general have enjoyed what I've had. I still do like fish and chips though.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00998722555113260012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675180084311988900.post-71297832903512461462011-08-17T18:29:32.707+08:002011-08-17T18:29:32.707+08:00I do think it's a question of what you grew up...I do think it's a question of what you grew up with and are used to. I love fish and chips, don't get me wrong, but in general dislike the British treatment of seafood, which is to cook it until it doesn't really look like seafood anymore. Fresh seafood is also rarely to be found, and exorbitantly priced when found - which is kinda weird for an island.

Of course, the win-win combination is to live somewhere with access to BOTH fresh seafood (reasonably priced and nicely cooked) AND fish and chips!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675180084311988900.post-59478652621725492142010-12-23T07:36:58.089+08:002010-12-23T07:36:58.089+08:00I've not come across it, though have heard oth...I've not come across it, though have heard others mention the Harry Ramsdens but maybe it's gone now. Have tried both the chilli crab and BBQ stingray, both nice but I have to admit we've had the fish and chips a few times since the shop opened - can't beat it!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00998722555113260012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675180084311988900.post-52024222568089117492010-12-22T23:39:12.478+08:002010-12-22T23:39:12.478+08:00Loved SG when I lived there before expating again ...Loved SG when I lived there before expating again to the USA. Not sure if Harry Ramsdens is still open, but that was good for some fish and chips. Did not get too much of a hankering as Pepper and chilli crab and BBQ stingray pulled me in other directions!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
